It's been decided!

Mr Jomer has informed me that our second idea which is the pet photography one. So i need a list of people who are able to bring their pets to school. Please be mindful that your pet must be tamed and is comfortable with crowds. Besides the pets, i need another volunteer photographer and at least 3 laptops. I would teach the photographer how to use an slr and the 3 person who volunteered their laptops how to use Photoshop CS 3 to edit photos.

Leying has kindly volunteered her Selphy printer so we can print instant 4R prints. I should also be able to borrow one from my cousin so we have 2!

Also, i need some of you to do the publicity posters and backdrops (like backgrounds for the people to pose). Publicity and backdrops would need around 10 people- to paint backdrops and design posters.

We needa discuss these issues soon. Probably after school at 11am on Friday. Tomorrow is a bit too rush coz i understand some of our classmates have already booked tennis and badminton courts for the 5 hour breaks.

CCN Day Part 2

Ok let me clear up some mist here..

1. Because another class in ASc is doing the haunted house, we may not be able to do it so we are thinking of another alternative, which is as Carole suggested the pet photography service.

2. In this pet photography service, we are bringing in our own pets, and not the others bring in their pets for us to photograph. Hence, we are providing the models.

3. To to our dear classmates who are planning to bring your pets, please make sure your pet is tamed and is clam in a crowded situation. We would need to arrange with Mr. Jomer where to place the animals when we have our lessons.

4. Regarding the bringing in of animals from MnM, I don't think it's possible because the animals there are not used to crowds and due to the fact that they are not our own pets we wouldn't know how to handle them when something crops up. We don't want any injuries!!!! If we are helping MnM, we could get from them a donation can or sell some of their merchandise. This is also a good time we can promote animal awareness.

Please note that the haunted house is still our first choice but i just submitted a proposal with these 2 ideas so it's up to the teachers to approve either one. But i would like to stress that the Pet Photography Service requires much less capital and effort than The Haunted House.

For the Pet Photography Service, we would only need 2 photographers, at most 4 laptops, 2 Sephy printers and a few packets of paper but we would need a lot of coordination.

I'm not saying that i prefer one idea to the other as of now, we can only leave it to the teachers to decide. But i hope that whatever the result, the class can give their full support. I do hope both ideas are ok with majority of the class. Due to some time constraints, i understand that i have made some rash decisions on my own. Sorry for that. >-<

CNN Day

We had a successful Bird Park outing yesterday with 10 people turning up.. We had much fun! Photos will be up soon on both my Picasa and the class's..

btw we also discussed about CNN Day, which falls on the 16 Nov, about 2-3 weeks after school starts..

From our discussion yesterday, we decided to do a Haunted House instead of the usual seeling of food and drinks on CNN Day.. if anyone strongly objects to this idea, please voice out..

if we were to go with the Haunted House idea, we would need a theme.. from what we discussed yesterday we came out with 3 themes..

-The Adam's Family
-Olden Shanghai Opera House
-18 Gates of Hell

Any other ideas, please contribute.. but please do consider our available resources and manpower.. Due to the limited time and the difficulty of setting up a Haunted House, i would need the full cooperation of the class..

Actually, Mr Jomer didn't inform me of anything but as a event photographer, i know that CNN falls on the 16th.. So Mr Jomer would need us to come up with a proposal soon.. and with all these brainstorming, it would be easier.. once our proposal is approved we have to get down to work as TIME IS LIMITED!!!!
